SPARTAN FEATURED IN SC WPDE TV-15 News Story
News channel 15's Stephen DiFranco interviewed Horry County Solicitor Greg Hembree and Spartan Technology Project Manager Jennifer Peeler regarding Horry County's criminal justice system. The story featured the Spartan PCMS application, highlighting how the software is helping Horry County to become paperless and share information with criminal justice agencies across the State of South Carolina.
"The Solicitor's office was the last criminal justice agency to be added to this system," explained DiFranco. "They are going green and are on the road to being paperless, about to be linked in with every other justice agency not only county-wide, but across the State."
Solicitor Greg Hembree explained the problems faced by his office. "Sometimes these files are feet thick," said Hembree, adding that files are often lost, causing time delays and raising costs. The new PCMS application will reduce or even eliminate paper. "It will put us with the leaders of the country in the automation of our justice system."
Jennifer Peeler demonstrated how the Spartan Solicitor system connects with the county court. "The data that they enter is being imported in a nightly job so its ready for the Solicitor's office to add additional data once it is imported."
The story concluded by stating that employees are currently being trained on the software. According to DiFranco, "Everyone I spoke to raved about how well it works."
