Victim / Witness Case Management System (VW-CMS)

Spartan’s Victim / Witness module provides the ability to associate victims with multiple defendants/co-defendants. This module integrates with the Prosecuting Attorney System by offering data viewing and updating across systems. For example, notes keyed in from the Victim/Witness area can be viewed in the PCMS Case Management area. The module provides options to add additional party information; enter contact information (e.g., face-to-face meeting, letter, phone call, etc); schedule events and print Word merge forms directly from the case (e.g. Victim Impact Statements, form letters, etc). When integrated with PCMS, the defendant can be automatically or manually associated.

Use batch letters to inform all parties on a case about upcoming court dates. If a defense attorney or prosecutor is scheduled to attend a specific event, the system will automatically generate docket letters based on a docket schedule.
Cross-reference persons with case number, defendant name, defendant identification number, applicable addresses, history of addresses, personal identification information for defendants, charges, case status, and more.
Automatically associate defendants using Law Enforcement Case Number or Warrant Number
Capture information such as the date of birth, driver’s license number, social security number, e-mail, addresses, and phone numbers for work, home, and mobile
Create secured case notes, victim/witness notes, and bond notes, all of which are associated with each other and with the case, thus aiding the prosecutor’s office to understand the case’s history and progression
Flexible Options for Case Initiation — Victim / Witness allows for case entry either by manual entry or by importing information from an existing system
Powerful Filing Functionality — The Filings screen exhibits any document merged within Victim / Witness automatically and allows for drag and drop using Spartan’s indexing feature.
Word Merge — Victim / Witness has the ability to generate any Word merge document at the case level by simply clicking an icon.
